Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lump On Perinium Along With Constant Throbbing Pain

I have developed in the past week a swollen lump on my perinium. It begins right at the anus and runs about 2 inches directly up the middle line toward the scrotum and is about 3/4 inch wide at the middle. At first I thought it was a hemmaroid (I just got back from XXXXXXX and spent a good part of the trip going to the bathroom frequently, which a few times in the past has caused me to develop a minor hemmaroid), but it seems to be getting worse not better and prep-H has had no impact. It is not red (skin colored). It is very sensitive to the touch, is causing a moderate but constant throbbing pain when I do everything to take pressure off it (lie on my side with pillows keeping legs apart), but is very painful when I try to walk (when my legs come together) or sitting down (the 15 hr flight back from XXXXXXX was not enjoyable). It looks like a small balloon and definitely appears to be filled with some type of fluid. I'm worried it's some kind of infected gland.
Any guesses as to what it is? I'm going to do everything I can to see a specialist ASAP, but I'm hoping it's not an ER visit?
Thank you!
Peri-anal abscess, most like a fistula in ano.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Your have put-in the history very self-explanatory.
The frequent trip to bathroom, the appearance, throbbing pain, tenderness and all the description is classical finding in a perianal abscess, which is to be taken as fistula-in-ano unless proved otherwise on exploration.
This needs to be opened as soon as possible, preferably by a General Surgeon or a Proctologist and you may please discuss very frankly about its chance of being a fistula as at surgery this can be dealt with if this is a low anal fistula as the whole tract can be operated upon.
I hope this answers your query, please feel free to ask for relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
