Brief Answer:
Likely to be from upper respiratory tract infections.
Detailed Answer:
The lymph node biopsy would show whether it is from an infection, inflammation or a malignancy. Since the swelling comes and goes, it is very likely to be from an infection like cytomegalovirus, infectious mononucleosis or other upper respiratory infections. Strenuous exercise may cause temporary derangements in the immune status and may make you susceptible to upper respiratory tract infections with common viruses. This may produce slight fever and swelling of lymphnodes which would subside as the infection is controlled by the immune system.
Eat healthy wholesome food and exercise for 30 minutes at moderate intensity only and try to avoid exposure to people with a cold and other respiratory infections and you ought to improve.
Wish you good health
