Question: I had circumcision three months ago. Everything healed well but there is still thick swollen skin where once the stitches were present. Is this permanent? how can I get rid of it?

Brief Answer:
Surgical removal possible but tendency to recur.Steroid creams may help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through the detail and have checked the attached image. It seems that there has been keloid formation at the site of suturing. Although keloids can be removed, they have a tendency to come back again. So even though it is not permanent, there might not be much that can be done about it. However, application of topical steroids might help in reducing the swelling. I would suggest you to get it examined by a doctor.
