HER MOTHER IS AN LPN AND IS GOING THROUGH RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS AND I BELIEVE SHE ISN'T TAKING THIS SERIOUS BECAUSE SHE HASN'T TAKING HER TO A DOCTOR BECAUSE SHE SAID THAT SINCE SHE ISN'T RUNNING A FEVER A DOCTOR WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING. MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I GO AND GET HER AND TAKE HER TO A DOCTOR IF SHE GETS SENT HOME FROM SCHOOL TOMORROW. SHE HAS BEEN SENT HOME TWO DAYS IN A ROW. Brief Answer:
Please, take her back to the doctor!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what your grand daughter is going through. It is not the best of things to experience.

The mistake we make at times is that feeling better does not mean the problem has been completely resolve. It simply means that the illness is responding. I cannot understand why the mother as an LPN would not carry on the treatment to completion.

Please, take her back to the doctors for re-evaluation and treatment. I will suggest you personally supervise her treatment to completion this time around. She needs to be well treated in order to avoid complications from this.

I hope this helps. I wish her well. I wish you all the best as you try to get this resolved. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.

Brief Answer:
This is a complication!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up.

With pockets of pus, this already is a complication. What the initil cause is cannot be identified without examination and laboratory investigations from culture.

It could have been tonsilitis or strep sore throat that has become complicated.

I wish you well.
