Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of GERD

Question: 40 yr old . 2 months ago I noticed I started having a sore throat , trouble breathing , like i had pneumonia, and my stomach was tender below my sternum. I did a chest xray. They thought it was bronchitis and started me on a zpac. It was not broncgitis and the zpac did not help. Since then I've had a other chest xray, CT scan to check for blood clot in my lungs, ekg, bacteria test. Nuclear stress test and upper gi work w/ barium liquid done. All came back good and clean. My Oxygen levels , blood pressure, temperature always good. My symptoms are a sore throat, takes some effort to swallow, coughing, spit white Flem, ear aches, shortness of breath and constant stomach pains. It effects me more when I lay down. Not sure what it could be. Bathroom has been normal, no bleeding. Lost about 5 lbs in 7 days so far. I have an appetite and eating.
Brief Answer:
Sounds like gastritis

Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
While the symptoms of the query are suggestive of a gastroesophageal reflux, I would suggest the following
1. test serum IgE.
2. Upper gi endoscopy.
3. ultrasound of the abdomen.
From the query, I feel that you do not want to do endoscopy. If you can tell me why you want to avoid it, I may be able to help you further.
I would also like to see all your prior reports. So if possible, please upload them to our website.
Please respond as soon as possible, with the information, and reports if possible.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal

Brief Answer:
Let me know the reports
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks or the information.
Let me know the reports.
I would suggest taking Tab Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day, half hour prior to meals.
I dont think you need to stop crestor.
In addition, take syr sucralfate 2 tsf 3 times a day.
A tablet called montelukast may help, I think you should discuss the option with your treating physician there.
Avoid alcohol, coffee, spicy foods, tension, dust, non veg food.
Let me know the reports.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
