Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of UTI

Question: Hi
My daughter suddenly caught with high fever 102 F
Dr. Advice to make urine analysis which says leukocyte (Pus cells ) is 8-10.
Plz help me with info that what is the normal range.??
Is this value is danger??
What will be treatment ?? How much time it will take.
Plz help me with kind suggesion

Hi

I understand your concerns but don't worry. The symptoms and reports are suggestive of urinary tract infection. To confirm the diagnosis, you must check her early morning sample by culture and sensitivity test. Start her on emperical antibiotics such as Cefixime as the report takes atleast 48 hours.
Leukocytes more than 5 in urine sample are abnormal and needs to be treated. Do not worry as it can be easily treated. Upload her culture report for my reference.

Dr. has prescribed 1) cefolac DT-50. 2) Megadol Suspension (2.5 ml in case of fever only)& adviced for plenty of water intake.
