I am confused because he does not struggle to read. I have had him read complicated books out loud to me. He just doesn't understand what he reads even simple descriptions on a menu. Isn't dyslexia when you see the letters reversed?
Brief Answer:
Dyslexia is not what we see in movies
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
I understand that he can read them well even the complex sentences. This is indicative of two things-
Firstly he may have mild reading disorder which helps him to read but fails to process the information to relevant center of brain.
Secondly it is possible that there is problem in temporal area of brain but possibility of such abnormality is very low considering his IQ.
I think it is still appropriate to got for evaluation of dyslexia.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
