Question: I noticed my belly button popping out a few months back but never did it hurt nor did i pick up anything heavy. I have chronic constipation and started getting sharp pains on the right side of my belly button and now the pain moved to exactly on my belly button. When i get the pain it hurts even more when i touch the area. I dont know what it is but i would like some help on the topic.

Brief Answer:
Most likely you have umbilical hernia.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

From your description you have umbilical hernia. I would be able to confirm that if you attach the picture of it.

In some cases, there is no need to lift anything heavy to have hernia. Constipation is enough to create such hernia as you push on stool. This increases the pressure in the abdomen and can be the reason of hernia.

I suggest you to consult general surgeon. Physical examination is usually enough to diagnose it. And the only treatment is surgery.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
