Brief Answer:
Musculoskeletal pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

When someone falls hard there will some amount of tissue injury but whats more painful are micro tears in the muscle. This leads to severe pain which can last for about 3-4 weeks.
Here is what you should do

1. Cold compress the painful area three times day
2. Continue to take the painkillers prescribed, I would prefer a painkiller like aceclofenac MR for the pain
3. Take adequate rest
4. Do not over work or exert pressure over the wounded area
5. Do not massage the area
6. If the symptoms still dont improve get an MRI done to rule out tendon involvement

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
