Question: My wife has had terrible pain right arm after picc line removal on 11/19/17 Ultrasound and Nerve conduction test showed nothing and nothing visual difference between the two arms. I dont know what kind of doctor to take her too our GP says use a heating pad which is a long way from a cure

here is no swelling or redness to the arm -- it looks juat like the left arm

She goes to a Physical Therapy professional and rhw shoulder and elbow movement is normal

Got Ultrasound and it was normal

Got Nerve conduction test and it was normal

Have not gotten an MRI or lymphangiogram

Perhaps the problem is not due to the removal of the PICC Line??

Brief Answer:
Can be due to a nerve inflammation.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the right arm with all normal tests and no visible problem can be due to a mild nerve inflammation at the site of PICC line. In case it is associated with numbness or a mild burning sensation then a nerve related cause is more likely. This can improve with methylcobalamin supplements and medicines like pregabalin. She can also take mild anti inflammatory pain killers and see if it helps.
I hope this answers your query.
