Suggest Treatment For The Lower Back Pain

For the past year and a half i have been having a pain that goes comes and goes in my back. It is located at various spots in my back. It hurts along my lower back just right above my bum. The pain feels like a "crushing"pain that radiates along my entire lower back and sometimes wraps around my hip bones as well. Other times it is a heavy pressure like sensation. I also get a similar crushing pain in a spot right beside my upper right shoulder blade. These pains happen most often when i am either sitting or laying on my stomach. If i sit up straight (fix my posture), the pain seems to lessen in severity. I am very worried this could be a backbone or spinal cancer. It is becoming more and more frequent. Please advise.
Can be a postural pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are suffering from what we call the industrial back ache. This is not likely to be related to cancer. The first step is to ensure that you maintain an appropriate posture while working on the computer. Take frequent stretch breaks and drink lots of water. Discontinue using pillow while sleeping straight. Do not lift heavy objects, especially after bending down. Eat a healthy wholesome meal which should satisfy your minerals and proteins requirement.
The most essential and long lasting remedy is exercises. There are certain back strengthening and neck isometric exercises that you must learn from a physiotherapist and perform them at home or work whenever possible. You can also undergo a weeks session of traction at your physiotherapist's clinic.
Last but not least, if its unbearable take medications or muscle relaxant prescribed by your physician. And if it has been long standing illness visit your orthopaedician and clinically-radiologically establish a diagnosis to commence definitive treatment.
I hope this answers your query.
