Suggest Treatment For Thinning Of Hair On Head And Hair Loss
Question: Hi, My wife has hair loss from some time. her hair is thinning all over her head. We haven't consulted any doctor till date. As of now we tried only home remedies but in vain. Can you please suggest any way out of this. Any if we need to consult any doctor , can you please provide us some references in XXXXXXX

As per details, it seems that your wife is having a type of alopecia knowb as Female pattern Alopecia. It is caused by Di hydro testosterone which is a normal hormone in our body. It is characterised initially by thinning of hair that too from central parting mainly leading to sparse looking hair and ultimately the weakend hair fall down leading to appreciable hair loss. In such cases, I prefer to advise topical minoxidil 2 percent to my patients. It is applied daily over the affected areas. Along with tablets containing Biotin, Calcium pantothenate, selenium as main component is also given. It usually takes 3-4 months to show some positive response. You should visit your doctor so that he can examine you and give you prescription. Personally I do npt know
