I xan see rhem in my stool. Masses of them. Some deas aome alive and wriggling. Aporox 1cm long and look like thin white thread. Some were ealigjtlh thicker. Ive caught it from my pupils. I have also been eating lots of pumpkin seeds to try and expell them. I feel abnormally exhausted. Sleeping in excess of 10 hours which is very unlike me. Is this related. Please offer me help and advice to rid of these worms as my mental health is suffering now.
Brief Answer:
Albendazole, pyrantel pamoate, anemia, eye consult
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Threadworms worm infestation can be treated with pyrantel pamaoate along with albendazole 400 mg in a single repeated at 2 weeks again.
For the eye manifestations, its a rare occurrence and should not be taken lightly. You should get an ophthalmologist consultation to remove or treat any foreign body.
The excess sleep can be due to anemia which can lead to lethargy. Get a CBC done to look for associated anemia with the worm infestation. Even though you can see the worms, I would still recommend that the stool be examined in laboratory for routine examination and to look for ova , parasites, blood.
Let me know if you have any query
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
