Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection With Body Ache

Question: Hello Doctor,
MY wife good throat infection from last 2-3 days. from throat infection now she had gott fever, but her fever is always internal one. it doesnt come in thermometer but all body joints and lower back is having major pain.
pls suggest.

Thanks for the query

Viral throat infections usually behave this way, one has low grade temperature with generalized body ache. This is how you should go about it

1. Gargle the throat with betadine gargles three times a day
2. tab levocetrizine twice a day will bring down the inflammation. It has to be taken for 5 days
3. avoid cold food and beverages. Avoid milk and milk products
4. avoid smoking
5. tab aceclofenac twice a day after food is ideal for the body ache. Do not take it for more than 3 days

hi doctor, thanks for quick reply. Sorry, i forgot to add that she got throat infection from cold. so, will the same meducine work or need to change something.
