Suggest Treatment For Throat Irritation After Lysol Consumption
Question: my wife drank lysol 20-30 ml, she omitted all but she is having irritations in her throat
is there any medicine to reduce her irritations
Brief Answer:
Visit the ER soon
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Lysol is a phenol derivative. Phenol is a corrosive poison it would surely irritate the stomach mucosa even when consumed in small quantities.
Do take her to ER immediately, as gastric washing is essential here.
Meanwhile, you can give her mixture of raw egg white with milk and castor oil. This mixture will coat the stomach and prevent the corrosive effect of the phenol on stomach mucosa.
Wish her early recovery.
take care,
