Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain And Cough

Question: I constantly have to clear my throat and blow my nose all day. At night I often wake up coughing, it appears that my saliva is very sticky and clear and gets caught at the back of my throat. My breathing seems normal if I can clear it from my throat. This has been going on for months, last time I went to my MD they did not appear concerned but I know it is not normal.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thanks for putting up the query
Youare having nasal infection. The secretions fall back into the throat causing repeated cleaning of throat and coughing. The sticky sensation in mouth is also due to this.
My advice is you should get a x-ray paranasal sinuses done.
You are probably having a deviation in nasal septum causing rhinitis and other symptoms as well.
Start taking a combination of levocetrizine and phenylepherine twice daily.
Tablet cefixime 200 twice daily and
xylometazoline nasal drops like otrivin thrice daily
All the medicines I have prescribed will be available at prescription only.
Take all for a week.
Follow up with the reports so that I can suggest you better.
