Question: Hi doctor

From yesterday my throat is paining and choked by cough. Bad cough, running nose and fever about 100 degress.

Suffering from bad headache too, kindly suggest medicines to take.
Yesterday I took dcold total but suffered gastric issue too after consumption, please take that into account

Thanks for your query.

I understand your concern. It looks like a common cold with bacterial infection. I would suggest you to take tab. dolo 650 mg maximum 4 times a day or whenever you have fever. This will help for the fever as well as the headache.

For runny nose you can take tab. cetrizine or sinarest once in the night after dinner for a day.

I would suggest you to take an antibiotic - tab. Azee 500 mg once a day after food for 3 days.

Other remedies include - steam inhalation, warm lemon juice with a tsp of honey for a week and plenty of fluids.
