Suggest Treatment For Tick Bites
Question: A week or so ago I thought I was just getting a mole on my upper arm which I caught out the corner of my eye getting out of shower then. Few days ago I thought I must of scratched it because it looked more like a small scab with a couple of scratch like streaks. This morning I happen to notice it looked like a scarab lifting up or like infected stitches coming out. Turns out I think it was a tick my husband took off me my question is why wouldn't have the tick washed off in all that time and what if anything should I do. I just have a red area about nickel size. I live in upstate NY with a corn field out behind my house where the deer come thru and I have a dog that has a tick on her. Mine was very small compared to hers.

Ticks sometimes go like that and we usually need to manually remove them from the skin. They have appendages and suckers and they stick to the skin as if someone has used a glue to paste them over there.
Can you please spare sometime to send me pictures of the site so that I may review and suggest you in a professional way how to proceed further to manage the rash. Make some good resolution pictures of the tick bite site and upload them in follow up.
