Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation And Pain In The Calf Muscles

Question: I have developed severe tingling and pain in both of my calf muscles. It started off in my toes and slowly moved up calf muscles and stopped at the back of my knees. I have had this symptom for 6 months. I have been to a neurologist, neurosurgeon, urologist and a orthopedic surgeon. I have had MRI and and CT scans performed. Every doctor says the cannot find anything wrong other than some compression of my lower spine. I do not have any pain when I stand or walk, only when I sit or lay on my back. My calf muscles feel like they are on fire. If I lift my body up, and take the load off my buttocks, the pain goes away. Help!
Brief Answer:
Get investigated and take treatment as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Tingling in both lower limbs with normal MRI may be due to neuropathy or restless leg syndrome.
You need to get nerve conduction study and blood tests like blood sugar, vitamin B 12,liver function test and renal function test.
Is there any pain and restriction of hip joint?
You can take pregabalin or gabapentin or amitryptiline for releif along with calcium and methylcobalamin.
Upload reports if available.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

I have been to every specialist you mentioned. I have had every test you mentioned done by all of them. Each doctor tells me there is nothing wrong that they can see. All of them state that they have never experienced symptoms like mine.
When I go to bed at night, the symptoms disappear. When I wake up I feel no pain. Once I sit down, the pain and tingling start to appear. One of my doctors suggested that I contact XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Hospital in XXXXXXX Maryland.
Any time I put pressure on my butt or calves ( such as laying down on the sofa) the pain starts. When I stand up, the pain is reduced significantly. When I walk, I have not pain at all.I am sorry if I am repeating myself but I'm not sure I pushed the right button to respond to you. I have been to every specialist you mentioned. Get investigated as advised and get treated accordingly
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Sitting posture pain with pressure over buttocks require nerve conduction studies.
Since no motor weakness, sensory loss or urinary complains is present possibility of nerve root compression is unlikely.
You can do physiotherapy too.
Any muscular pain requires testing of vitamin D 3 and Thyroid profile.
You can take Amitryptiline or Gabapentin with Methylcobalamin after proper prescription by your local physician.
Avoid sitting on a very low chair with bending of knees.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
