Question: 66 yr old female diabetic and my big toe nail came off it was loose in the shower after going to the gym it was hanging off so i removed it. do i need to put something on it?

Read and understood your history of being diabetic, removal of the hanging nal of the big toe and wants to know what can be applied to.

he best one in such a situation is applying a bandage soaked in Liquid Povidone Iodine. You may please repeat application of the liquid every 6 to 8 hours and change the bandage every day.
This will infection to settle in.

Secondly, please see that the diabetes is well under control.
And thirdly do not hesitate to take an antibiotic if there is an evidence of infection in the form of pus formation, redness, pain or increase in swelling.
