Suggest Treatment For Tongue Injury
Question:
Hi doctor,
My 1 year old boy fell down on his face from the bed yesterday. His tongue got cut from his 4 teeth. Blood came out for 5 mins but later thr blood stopped and he also stopped crying. I cannot see any major cut on the tongue but today again little blood came out from his tongue while he was drinking milk from his bottle, may be because sucking nipple puts pressure on his tongue. What medicine can i use to make his tongue heal faster? Or medicine is not required at all and it will heal on its own? Any other suggestions / food to avoid or prefer? Thanks in advance, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
it will heal its own
Detailed Answer:

If there is no major cut seen you need do anything , it will heal its own in 3-5 days. No medicine is required . Meanwhile avoid spicy and hard foods . A little blood may come due to pressure of sucking as you mentioned.
Keep a watch if you see any swelling or redness of tongue .
