tooth infection, you have to take antibiotics
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The tooth ache and swelling could be because of pus collection resulting in abscess formation. you need to take radiographs to confirm the diagnosis. you can take a course of antibiotic like penicilllins and metronidazole along with pain killer. do not apply pressure on the swelling, do saline gargling. consult your oral physician for permanent solution like restoration of the infected tooth.

can u prescribe an anti biotic?
Brief Answer:
Prescription from online forum are not valid...
Detailed Answer:
I wish I could give you the prescription, but laws of the state and medical ethics don't permit to do so.
If I were to be your treating doctor, I would start you on amoxicillin 500mg three times a day along with metronidazole 400mg three times for 3 days. In addition, I would start you on pain killer like diclofenac. This combination will be effective if you are not allergic to the above said drugs.
You can talk to your primary care provider and ask for a script.
Take care
