Question: My husband woke up later than usual this morning. When I came back into the house from outside work about an hour later, ny husband said his eyesight wasn''t quite right. We called his ophthomologist who specializes in diabetics and my husband had quite a thorough eeye exam today, but goes back tomorrow for a periphial field test and another round of eye exams. His eye doctor said a tia is usually temporary and heals itself in 24 hours. Is this true? Also, my husbands' parents both died of heart/ stroke issues and his older brother has had2 stents put into his body. This is the first "heart issue my husband has sustained.

A transient ischemic attack happens when blood flow to part of the brain is blocked or reduced , often by a blood clot. After a short time, blood flows again and the symptoms go away. With a stroke, the blood flow stays blocked, and the brain has permanent damage.Blindness in one or both eyes or double vision is a symptom of TIA.Though TIA is reversible yet it can be a indicator of stroke or heart attack in future,A complete cardiology review should be done to rule out the possibility of cardiac problems in future.As there is a positive history of coronary artery disease cardiac speciality consultation should be taken as early as possible.
