Brief Answer:
Needs hospital admission, further evalution and work-up

Detailed Answer:
Hello madam.Thanks for your query.

I have throughly read your query and deeply understand your concern. Many thanks for sharing the reports.

According to me if your husband is currently having dysentry (blood in stools) and his symptoms are not subsiding/increasing day by day. Please be advised that the reports that have been attached donot have your test results suggestive of typhoid.

The lab report repeated on 25th suggests that his Hemoglobin is 9.1 (versus 14.8 on 20th) which means that he has had a significant blood loss over the past 5 days and thus there is a fall in hemoglobin by approximately 5mg/dl. This is highly significant assuming that these reports are from a good laboratory.I am glad that the cells counts have normalized.

I would recommend to get admission under a physician to one of the good hospitals close by since it is unlikely that he might respond to current medication and he needs further workup and evaluation. Please do consider this option as early as possible to prevent further deterioration of his health.Hope he has a medical insurance plan in place.

Please feel free to revert for further queries.

Regards
Dr.Praveen

Brief Answer:
Further tests are required

Detailed Answer:
Hi sir. Thanks for sharing the reports.

Stool analysis shows the presence of blood.
Dengue has been screened. Please check if the value is with the reference limits mentioned in the report.
There are no tests related to typhoid in the reports(widal, typhi dot).
Kindly consult a physician since you might require a further work-up such as-culture sensitivity report, correction of dehydration, change in antibiotic therapy etc.

Regards
Dr.Praveen

Hi again. Thanks for sharing the reports.

Yes the widal test is positive and has high titres suggestive of Typhoid.
As discussed earlier since your symptoms are not subsiding consult a physician for further management. It is important to rule out further complications of typhoid especially when you see blood in stool and your hemoglobin is falling.

Thanks again!Get well soon.
