Suggest Treatment For Unbearable Pain Post Cauda Equina Surgery
Question: 10yrs post massive cauda equina surgery. I have lumps all over my buttocks that are painful. I have been getting TPI injections, but I can only have so many at a time and it doesn't relieve pain (25%) for 2-6 wks, depends. The lumps are nerve bundles?? What can I do to relieve some pain? I was doing "clam exercises" this did help with a sort of relief stretching feeling but didn't last long (hrs) I recently did these exercises and felt a slight "ting" and the next day my R-buttock cheek and back of thigh became hard and has not gone away (2+ months). Is there anything I can do? XXXXXXX in WI

Ia m sorry to hear that you have been having severe pain from cauda equina surgery that is unbearable. It looks like you have tried all options open to you to help control your pain. For out of the box suggestion may I suggest possible medical marijuana? Medical marijuana has been used successfully for treatment of chronic pain. I recommend using a brand of marijuana that is high in CBD. This is the chemical compound in medical marijuana that reduces pain
Sorry I do not have any other suggestions of options for you.
