It is unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia
Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM). Isolated increase in bilirubin has only few causes. Since direct bilirubin is less than 50% of the total bilirubin suggest that is unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia. Causes of isolated unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia are either haemolytic anemia or Gillbert's Syndrome.
To see for haemolytic anemia you need evaluation and some tests like complete haemogram with peripheral smear and absolute reticulocyte count. And if found abnormal the further evaluation for which you have to visit a Haematologist
And for Gillberts there is nothing to worry. It will never harm you in any way. Bilirubin will increase and resolve spontaneously and there is no medcine for it. What all you have to do is to avoid alcohol, and starvation
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
