Suggest Treatment For Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure With Lightheadedness And Arm Numbness

I recommend performing some tests :
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that uncontrolled high blood pressure may be associated with your complains (head rushes , lightheadedness, tingling and numbness on the arms, etc.).
Nevertheless these short lasting symptoms (a few seconds up to 60 sec) are not typical of hypertension (in such case they would last longer).
TIA and even epileptic seizures could not be easily excluded.
As you have studied an antihypertensive medication I recommend you to closely monitor your BP values (several times daily) until lisinopril exerts is full therapeutic effects.
From the other hand I recommend you to perform some tests :
- an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring to exclude possible cardiac arrhythmia
- neck vessels Doppler ultrasound to examine the blood flow to the brain and exclude possible stenosis.
- blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood glucose, thyroid hormone levels, PCR, sedimentation rate, kidney and liver function tests , blood electrolytes, etc .
A brain eeg followed by a brain ct scan are necessary to exclude possible seizures.
Hope to have been helpful!
