Suggest Treatment For Uncontrolled Hypertension
Though high, not life threatening!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this high blood pressure that has recently been poorly controlled. I am very happy to see a client who is so committed to have perfect numbers. this would for sure help prevent complications and greatly improve the quality of life.
Though the value is clearly above the goal, it is not that high so much that we should be afraid of immediate complications. We often get to employ emergency measures for blood pressures that average 220/120mmHg. This is not to say you do not have any genuine reasons to worry about but just to make you understand that we are still within a safe margin. This will be a problem should it stay like this in the long run and not in the immediate.
Because your blood pressure has been well controlled for the past three months, we would not rush to change the treatment plan based on a 48hours monitoring. We rather have to look for the reasons why this has happened as it does not seem to be related to medications but something that has happened recently. Do you have any stress at home/work, etc, sleeping difficulties or any other condition disturbing you? These may need attention to see your blood pressure values regain their normal range.
In all, this number is not alarming for another drug to be prescribed right away. Enough sleep, rest and a relaxed mind sate would help you regain the perfect numbers you have been having before. Should these measures fail, we look probe into the possible causes of this including medications before applying other aggressive measures. Do not increase the dosages, maintain them same and continue monitoring. Communicate the readings to me over the weekend and I will work with you on this if need be.
I hope this addresses your query fully and provides enough information for you to act on. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarification should need be.
