Suggest Treatment For Upper Abdominal Pain And Acidity

Hi.
Thanks for your query and the reports.
To recapitulate: Male/43 - pain in upper abdomen - acidity - anxiety - feeling if imbalance - inactive HbsAg - non diabetic - 2 years treatment attached and seen - wants to know right way for happy life...
Read all the reports and the prescriptions you have attached.
May I please know some more details so that we can further discuss the problems to find a diagnosis and solution:
- Since when have you got this problem?
- Did the medicines help you or not?
- Please post other reports, particularly of the upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and others like CT scan of abdomen.
- Any other problems that you have not mentioned?
- Any nausea, vomiting, altered stool habits like constipation or loose stools / Black stools?
- Any bloating / distension of abdomen?
Ultrasonography of 9/5/15 is normal.
Blood reports of 16/10/2013 and 9/5/2015 seen, normal except raised globulin.
The prescriptions of 3/2/2014 says: pain on both sides of abdomen and an appointment for UGI Endoscopy- please attach the reports.
My suggestions:
- Upper GI Endoscopy
- Soft bland diet and small frequent meals, this means you have to divide the daily food requirement into 4 parts and take as breakfast, lunch, brunch (evening breakfast) and dinner.
- PPI like Omeprazole and/or Ranitidine
- Antacid liquid like Happicid or Mucaine gel 3 tsf when you are empty stomach.
- Walk around after dinner and sleep after 1 to 2 hours after dinner.
- No tobacco in any form (if you are taking)
- Control of the anxiety and stress is very important part of the treatment. This affects the life and all the system of the body and particularly the gastrointestinal system in an adverse way. You must have noticed that when you are not in tensions/stress or anxiety, your problems must be really well controlled.
- Avoid every aspect of life that causes you to have stress and anxiety. In a long run you will realized you do not loose anything by adopting to the stress-free life and what you get is very important, the best part of the life.
- Minimum 6 to 8 hours of sound sleep without any disturbance.
- Other medicines and investigations as per your feedback.
- Your USG on 9/5/15 was normal hence not needed to be repeated.
