Suggest Treatment For Upper Abdominal Pain

Question: I have had severe sharp pains in both sides of my upper abdomen. I often have severe diahrea sometimes right after I eat somtime with no food in my stomach. The pain is all over my stomach and it even hurts under my arms to the touch. I have n ultra sound and other tests on Wedbut I just received a phone call that my daughter, who is a couple of thousnd of miles wy, is in the hosipitl with a blood clot in her lung. They just found XXXXXXX turmor on her ovary tht is pressing on her lungs. I need to get out there. She is scheuled for surgery on Tues . I am in tomuch pain and am fraid not to be next to a toilet.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history about you and your daughter.
Read about your symptoms of severe pain in abdomen and diarrhea after eating something.
This is suggestive of the following:
IBS, irritable bowel syndrome.
Severe enterocilitis.
Or some inflammatory process like diverticulitis.

All these need complete evaluation:
Tests of blood including thyroid function tests, sugar, kidney and liver functions.
Tests of stool for 3 consecutive days.
Please post reports of ultrasonography. You may need CT scan of abdomen.
Clinical evaluation, examination by a General Surgeon or a Gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis and treatment as per findings.
You need a prescription based treatment.

I can understand the need to attend your daughter, but since she is so far away and you may need to visit toilet any moment I would suggest you to get stabilized first, enough for you to travel, diagnosed to get a proper treatment.
