Suggest Treatment For Urethritis
Question: Hello, how are you?
My name is XXXX. I would like to consult one of the urologies here that are available online.
My situation went back 3 months ago, back then i had unprotected sex with a prostitute. Since that day, i felt itchy in some parts of my body, and that my urine had become pain with burning type of pain and feels like a cutting razor at the "TIP" of my penis.
So after that, i went to buy cravit levofloxacin 500mg and consumed it for 2 1/2 months for 10 weeks. I also went to buy cranberry pills with extra strength especially for UTI infection, and i am still consuming it now for 2 mths already without the antibiotic (almost one month now). Now the burning pain has reduced to "mild" burning pain but still felt a razor once in a while not so pain tho but yes still at the tip. depending on how much water i drink and consumed if i drink plenty of water the pain is not so much. Now another problem i am facing is that around my genital area, penis i felt itchy always but there is no sore nor bleeding nor scars equivalent to STD symptoms just plain itchy. I dont know what i should do now?? Can you help me please....

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you had unprotected sex with prostitute which was followed by severe UTI which is resolved to some extent by taking antibiotics However you still get severe pain at the tip of penis .
This could be mostly either due to narrowing of External Urinary Meatus due to Urethritis (Meatal Stenosis) or Residual infection of meatus .
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1)Have you done urine culture and taken antibiotic as per culture report ?
Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily .Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
Ensure to drink more water .To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
If problem persist you will need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination to establish diagnosis .He may advice you to get Endoscopic Examination of Urethral passage done (Cystoscopy)
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis

I have not gone to check for urine culture and sperm culture as well, i will be going to Kuala lumpur next month. i will inform you the result of the tests once i got it from the urologist there. Btw, just a question in mind i would like to know what the bacteria that caused HIV? will i get HIV in the future as i am very worried now.... am i having STD's now? as i am feeling itchy in my genital area,,, once in a while it becomes very itchy but after i scratch is gone. other parts of the body are not itchy.
