Suggest Treatment For Urinary Incontinence
Question: I am a 72 year old lady with no big health issues. But, sitting at the computer just now, my bladder lost control without any warning. I was shocked.Everything was wet .I had no sensation of urinating. First time this has happened.I do have very small leakage of urine while sleeping.

Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that you are having urinary incontinence . There can be detrusor instability or senile incontinence .
Plus what is worrisome is that you didnt get any sensation of being wet which will require neurological examination . For this will require a consultation with urogynecologist . Probably she will recommend detrusor exercises to make the sphincters tight which will recommend further such instances . There is nothing to worry but needs evaluation.

Yes this situation gradually improves and exercises happen to be the mainstay of the treatment . But any kind of treatment can be given once the diagnosis is fixed .
One thing you can do is to observe and wait , if it happens second time then you can see your doctor .
Dont panic about this as stress will exacerbate it , this is potentially treatable most of the times . Also get your blood sugar levels checked as diabetes can also cause this.
