Question: Hi I have recently been diagnosed with heavy growth of staphylococcus and i have been placed on antibiorics.I want to know if I need to tell my boyfriend to get treatment as well or not.Because a lot of theories state that it is not sexually transmitted

Uroinfection caused by staphyloccocus is not sexually tramsnitted so your partner doesnt need to do tests or have treatment. You need to do antibiogram and have specific antibiotic. However, you should abstain from sexual intercourse since it may prolong symptoms of uroinfection.
