Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection

Please follow teh suggestions below...
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns. I am sorry for the situation your son is in and about your current situation too. I am surprised with your strength and courage to assist your ill son.
All your current situation and fatigue you have been having while taking care of your son and forgetting about yourself, is causing your current health problems: dehydration and lack of energy.
You should take care of yourself too. If you eat well, you will get enough energy to take care of your son and your daily activities. Thus, your overall health will be improved too.
With regards to high ketones level, can you please provide a copy of the test report? So, I can analyze them and understand the possible cause to high ketones.
Apart fasting blood sugar, I'd advise to run:
- oral glucose tolerance test
- HbA1C test
to rule out diabetes completely.
Hope it was of help! God bless!

Hi I forgot to tell you I have trace bilirubin, trace urobiigin, 1+ wbc's, 1+ nitrites in my urine. I tested it with regent urine sticks I bought online a year or more ago. Their not expired. could this be caused by kidney disease, uti, liver disease or dehydration. I'm very frightened for my son, in case something happens to me.
Figures indicating urinary tract infection...
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
The presence of trace bilirubin, urobilinogen, WBC and nitrites in urine are indicative for urinary tract infection. As long as there is no trace of protein, then, this can be temporary.
Please bare in mind that in cases of dehydration, where less water or nutrients are consumed, it is common for bacteria to multiple and couple urinary pathways. That's why I highly recommend to:
- increase fluids intake: water, tea, etc
- take OTC urine pH neutralizers containing cranberry and magnesium citrate
If no improvement within a few days up to 1 week, you should take a lab urine analysis and urine culture and sensitivity testing to determine the right antibiotic to use.
Hope it was of help!

Symptoms suggestive for urinary tract infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
I understand your concern. 1
Again, your urine analysis (dipstick) you ran yesterday and today are suggestive for urinary tract infection.
The yellow stool you saw might be because you are having loose stool with frequent bowel movements. However, the presence of high urobiline and bilirubin in urine might be suggestive for possible gallbladder issues.
At this point, I highly recommend to :
- run urine analysis in the labnad you need to start oral antibiotics
- run abdominal ultrasound
- continue drinking plenty of water
- take OTC magnesium citrate and cranberry supplements to optimize urine ph
- probiotics are necessary to optimize intestinal flora
- take a complete liver/kidney /pancreas function test
Wish fast recovery!
