Suggest Treatment For Uterus Cancer
Question: my wife has problem of uterus cancer ..she is in starting stage ..we are getting treatment from PGI CHD. still we dont have any Child ..need suggestion for same as per PGI uterus need to discard ..

Hello,
It possible to save the uterus of your wife,but few criteria have to be full filled.The tumor should be endometriod adenocarcinoma grade 1,stage 1 A and ER PR positive etc.
These tumors are treated by high dose Megestrol-160 mg per day for 3 months and re-assessed.
About 60% of the patients respond to this type of treatment.
We have experience of treating few patients successfully and few have delivered children after treatment.
Please give this information to PGI doctors [I am sure they are knowledgeable about this].

sir we are going 2nd time in period of reassesment . in ist report doctor has suggested us to take treaktment with 80 mg daily for 3 months. after period of 3 months PGI got resolution that "There has not any effect on tumor,but neither it is increased or it is decreased" ..now she is going under trial of 3 months again ,now she is taking 160 mg Megestrol on daily basis .2 months has gone ,now 1 month she will be under trial . is there any other way to treat this Tumor

usual initial dose is 160 mg/day for 3 months then do D & C to assess the response,if no response then dose increased to 320 mg/day for next 3 months.
Although your doctor has given lesser dose I suggest you to wait for 1 more month and wait for the response.
