Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Bleeding Inspite Of Being On Birth Control Pills
Question: Why do I have a black stain in my underwear in the vaginal area?
Brief Answer:
It may be normal sometimes.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Before answering your query I want to ask some questions-
Is it associated with your period?
Is there any smell or odor?
Any other symptoms associated with it?
Have you gotten any tests done? If so please upload the reports.
It is usually a normal finding. Sometimes it may happen if intake of water is low- concentrated urine causes stain. Other causes can be vaginal infection, Alkaptonuria
My advises for you would be-
- drink a lot of water
- maintain vaginal hygiene
- do not use bleach
- use cotton undergarment
Please revert back to me with my questions.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr. Richa

I don't get my period because I'm on a birth control that don't allow me to have a period. There isn't any odor and I'm a clean person. I do drink a lot of diet mountain dew.
Brief Answer:
It may be due to oral pills.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Nice to see you again.
It may be due to oral pills(pills containing hormone)- may cause spotting.
Please drink a lot of water not Mountain Dew ( it is a carbonated drink)
Please wait and watch for sometime if problem continues then you can consult your treating doctor and stop your pills( if it is possible).
Hope this information is helpful to you.
