Question: I had period like bleeding a week before my period. It seemed like a normal period but I have never been early sense I started my birth control. The bleeding was light then heavy then light again and before it stopped I started bleeding again the following week (the week I was supposed to have my period). Also the blood is now blown and pasty...

I am on Ocella and I was taking the hormone pill at the time. I started bleeding on Tuesday and on Sunday I starded taking the place holder pills.

The bleeding after taking birth control pills can be heavy for few months, but later on it becomes normal with average flow.
If the spotting is still continued after 're starting the pills, then you should consult your doctor for changing to the pills with a higher dose of hormones.
