I would surely like to be of help in this regard but I need to know a few details beforehand-
1)What is the duration of each episode of intense vertigo-seconds,minutes or hours?
2)Is it aggravated on some neck movements? Is it anyway related to neck movements?
3)Do you have any history of ear related problems like ear discharge, tinnitus or hearing loss?Any history of double vision or facial deviation?
4)Any other co-morbidities like Diabetes,Hypertension or other chronic illness?Any past history of heart disease or stroke?
Please follow up with details so that I can answer this well.

1) For both episodes, I would say it was an hour when the vertigo started and I got back to my apartment and layed down in bed. Once I closed my eyes I was able to fall asleep and was ok when I woke up.
2) I think it is aggrivated by a neck issue. I have an area in my upper back/neck which has been giving me problems for last couple of weeks.
3) I do have excessive ear wax and have had tinnitus for a while. Increasing in the last year. Had a hearing test a little over two years ago and was tested better than average. No double vision or facila deviation
As additional history, have always had tight muscles. Am overweight (256lbs) have been going to a nutritionist for last 3 months and have begun exercising for last 3 weeks. Have been maintining heart beat at 130 bpm on cross trainer for 1 hou. Did walk / run with heart beat peaking at 156 but averaging 130 for the hour.r
Observation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.
Your clinical history does not go well with a well categorized neurological cause of vertigo.
I suggest you to be observant and if the symptoms occur again, please get yourself examined by a neurologist,in person. He may ask for a Brain MRI,to rule out any intracranial pathology, depending on the physical examination.
If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to answer.
Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
