Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your mother's history.
She seems to have suffered minor injury to the soft tissues/nerves in the neck region, resulting in pain and vertigo.
Following medications would help:
1. VERTIN (betahistine tablets)- To my patients, I usually advise three times daily for five days, followed by two times daily for five days.
2. Tab. ETOSHINE (etoricoxib)- I advise to my patients 90 mg tablets once daily for 10 days.
Review can be done in 10 days. If she is better, the medication course is completed.
If she does not improve, then, Cervical spine MRI may be done.
I hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
Best wishes,
