Question: Hi I been having diahrea since early morning and have lot of gas.i drink green juice yesterday morning I statrt having this gas since then

Hello

Thanks for the query

It looks like you are suffering infective enteritis. Here are my suggestions to you

1. Tab Racecodotril can be taken three times daily. It will reduce the diarrhea
2. Drink plenty of fluids. I prefer that my patients take ORS packet. Mix 1 packet of ORS in one litre of water and drink sip by sip. It will restore your energy and fluids
3. Tab Pan D should be taken once daily before food, for the gas. Gas is because of the infection, it will settle down
4. If diarrhea continues till tomorrow, you should start antibiotics. I prefer a combination anti biotic like ciplox with tinidazole taken twice daily for 5 days
