Suggest Treatment For Viral Infection With Stomach Pain And Bodyaches

Question: I was diagnosed with a viral infection. I have a great deal of gas, stomach pain, body aches, headache. It has lasted over 5 days. Symptoms come, disappear for a period of time and then return with a vengeance. Any suggestions?

What dietary measures do you suggest? sometimes I can eat a complete meal, and then others, after a simple piece of toast, I have pains again. It is very mysterious.

I suggest increased fiber, vegetables, fruits and much fluids intake. Avoid mixing many different food types at once as this often leads to fermentation resulting in increased gas production. If pains are concerning, I recommend you should peptobismol use for relief.
