Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Unfortunately no single therapy for vitiligo produces predictably good results in all persons.
Response is variable.
Treatment can involve: (1) systemic phototherapy- this can sometimes help in up to 70 % of persons with either early or not widespread disease
This can be done 2 to 3 times a week, not consecutively.
Consists of the use of fluorescent tubes to produce a certain amount of light
(2)laser therapy- this is a safe and effective treatment when the vitiligo is limited to less than 30% of body surface, but it can be costly
(3)steroid therapy
(4)topical therapy- eg tacrolimus, vitamin d analogs can be used , in some instances in combination with the phototherapy
Your dermatologist should be able to help organize a treatment plan for you to try.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
