Question: My brother had some food poisoning yesterday . He has been vomiting since morning. It’s been three to four times. He also had loose motion twice. Please suggest some medicine.

TREATMENT INCLUDES MAINLY TWO THINGS-
1,Replacement of lost fluids, electrolytes and minerals such as sodium, potassium and calcium that maintain the balance of fluids in your body — lost to persistent diarrhea need to be replaced. This can be done by taking ORS or some water mix with sugar and salt.
If fluid loss is more than this can be done by intravenous fluids.
2. If food poisoning is caused by bacterial infection than antibiotics are needed to control and treatment of symptoms.
Antibiotics should be taken under the supervision of doctor or in hospital.
He may also try drinking clear soda, clear broth or noncaffeinated sports drinks, such as Gatorade. He is getting enough fluid when he is urinating normally and his urine is clear and not dark.
