Brief Answer:
for how long

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
Most of the time when people have these symptoms it is from a viral infection. These things usually resolve on their own in a couple days and the biggest risk is getting dehydrated.
If her fevers are high and she can keep nothing down and it has been going on more than 2-3 days, she probably needs to go to emergency for IV fluids and some testing.
Please answer these questions for me so that I can better assess what you need to do to help her.
The profile says 62 years old, is that her age?
How many days has she been sick?
How high is her fever?
How long has it been since she could keep down fluids?
What medical problems does she have?
What medications does she take?
I can give you a better idea of what to do for her if you can give me these answers.
