Suggest Treatment For Vomiting, Diarrhea And High Blood Sugar Level

Question: My husband has type 2 diabetes and is having a hard time controlling the numbers. His potassium was just diaganosed as high (don't know the exact number) The problem is he is having vomiting and diarrhea 1x a week for the last 3 weeks. What I read about diabetes and high potassium seems to contradict what I should feed him. If you have any advice I would appreciate it. I am at a loss as to what to feed him. I had his diabetes controlled on a whole foods diet and then we moved from CA to TN and we fell of the wagon. But I am afraid of the high potassium. Thank you for your help.
Brief Answer:
About high potassium foods;
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Of course to give a proper diet plan, the cause of high potasdium and it's level should be known ( for eg. if the cause is renal failure, the diet should also be low in proteins).
Anyway, unfortunately, potassium is abundant and can be found in fruits, vegetables, milk products and fish. The foods that he needs to avoid are; bananas, avocados, potatoes, beans, spinach, tomato, salmon, yogurt , dried fruits.
Than try to be strict in following the instructions for the next medical control and ask further the physician regarding to high potassium causes.
Hope the information will help and wish him good health.
Best wishes,
