Suggest Treatment For Vomiting While Having Asthma

Question: Hi XXXXXXX

This is again a followup question on my brother's Asthama condition. He started taking budecort(200) 1 puff morning and night. But after couple of days he started getting vomiting sensation and in fact he vomited couple of times. He also feel like he has a stomach upset. We had observed this earlier also when he was getting ill because of Asthma.For time being he again switched back to the old medicine. I will get his lung function test done sometime next week.

I have couple of question:

1. Is this vomiting is related to change his body is undergoing due to the change in medicine or it is due to something else?
2. Is there a way for patient to speak to you directly over a phone so that you can understand his condition better and guide him appropriately.

Thanks for your direct question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Vomiting is mostly due to some other reason.
I don't think it is connected with budecort.
In rare cases, if patient is not gargling after inhaler use, he can get nausea, vomiting.
So please let me know
1. Is he gargle after budecort use?
2. Is he taking any drugs for vomiting?

1. Yes. He has gargled after uisng budecort.
2. No. He has not taken any medicine for vomiting. He just switched back to forocort 200 2 puffs night.

Give him proton pump inhibitors and anti emetic drug combination.

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, his vomiting is mostly due to stomach problem.
And for this better to give him combination of proton pump inhibitors and anti emetic drugs.
