Treatment options for warts and their recurrence
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Thanks for writing.
I am Dr. Saddiq ul Abidin. I have read your question completely, I understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
First of all, it is sad to hear that you have been having warts lately. The recurrence of warts is quite common and i come across many people in my clinic who have had them off and on. It is mandatory here to say that since, warts is a viral disease and caused by Human Papilloma viruses, vaccines against certain type of these viruses does exist, available with the name of Gardasol, which has shown to limit there recurrence, over and again.
It would have been more appreciable, if you would have described the location and extent of these warts as there treatment may vary on that basis.
In my clinics, i have seen people have got most benefits from cryotherapy. This procedure involves freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen.
In the meanwhile, use of topical Zinc oxide or salicyclic acid creams, have shown to be of quite some benefit. The drug you are trying to recall, is may be an antiviral, like Lopinavir, available with many brand names, but is generally suggested for the genital warts.
But i would recommend you to discuss all these treatment options, with your dermatologist and also discuss the possibility of vaccination, in your case in particular, after careful examination.
I hope this answered your question. If you have more queries I am happy to answer. Otherwise rate before closing the discussion.

Facial warts management
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your appreciating remarks. I am glad to be of some help to you.
The information you have shared now, is quite important, as with facial warts few things have to be kept in mind.
You have got three first line management options: Salicylic acid, cryotherapy and duct tapes.
The most preferable method, in my opinion, would be cryotherapy for you, in which freezing of warts is done by liquid nitrogen. It is normally available with dermatology clinic or with some plastic surgeons in your vicinity. Though it may be associated with pain and quite a few sessions may be needed.
Salicylic acid creams, will be corrosive for the surrounding skin. It may be used, but only with careful cautions. One of those would be, to either use emollients like Vaselines, petroleum jelly, liquid paraffin or barrier creams like zinc oxide on surrounding skin, and then apply salicylic acid with careful application, confining to the warts only. Wetting or soaking the warts ion water for some time, before application have also shown extra benefits.
Last but not the least, would be duct tape. It is most safest but has lesser resolution/success rates. So can be tried as fist approach before trying other invasive methods. That would involve application of duct tap, tightly over warts to compress them. Tape can be changed after 6-7 days.
Rest stay assured. None of these is associated with some life threatening or serious side effects. Only main concerns being the cosmetic issues. So these precaution must be taken.
Now you can discuss all these options with your dermatologist.
Stay blessed. Kindly rate before closing. If there are any more queries, I'll be glad to answer. You can also approach me directly through my profile. Regards.
