Suggest Treatment For Wasp Stings On Body
painkillers will help
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
pain is common after being stung by wasps. If the lesion was less painful at first but got more painful now, then an infectious process has to be excluded. Infection after being stung is not very common but it may happen sometimes. Other signs - besides pain - may include progressively increasing redness and perhaps also the presence of pus or a worsening swollen area.
If no infection is likely then painkillers will help. I would start with paracetamol (acetaminophen) which has the least side effects and if not enough proceed to a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (a NSAID like ibuprofen for example). NSAIDs may cause serious problems to persons with peptic ulcer, arterial hypertension, chronic kidney disease, etc so consulting your doctor first is advised.
If itching is present then an antihistamine drug might also help. Watch out for the side effects though like drowsiness for example which may affect your driving capacity.
