Diabetic bulla, Bullous Pemphigoid, Folliculitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome to healthcaremagic.com.
I understand your concern.
There are following main possibilities for such symptoms-
1) Diabetics are highly prone for opportunistic infections including bacterial/viral/fungal due to low immunity.
In such cases, oral antibiotics are started after pus pus culture and sensitivity test.
2) Another possibility is Diabetic Bulla charaterised by sterilised fluid filled lesions over body mostly over lower legs.
The control of sugar is most important part of treatment.
3)Bullous Pemphigoid- it is an autoimmune condition characterised by formation of tense blisters over extremities. It is more common in people aged more than sixty years of age. The blisters are bilateral and sterilised.Blisters may develop secondary bacerial infection leading to pus formation.
It is managed by topical steroids and oral tetracycline/Dapsone.
You can share my opinion with your doctor so that he can reconsider the diagnosis and treatment.
I hope I am able to solve your query.
