Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. If you do not mind answering a few more questions of mine, I would greatly appreciate it as it would help me in helping you in a more accurate manner:
1. Was the onset of your symptoms sudden/acute or was it present for a long time?
2. Do you have any other associated symptoms like blurring of vision, swelling of the eye, etc.?
3. Do you have any allergic reactions (e.g. to dust)?
4. Any discharge from the eye (e.g. yellow, green, red, etc)?
5. Pain in the eye?
6. Increased sensitivity to light?
7. Fever
I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further.
Best wishes.
1. It started about a week ago. Came on slowly.
2. Very slight blurring started today.
3. I am allergic to pollen and dust.
4. The discharge from my eye appears to be just watering. Too little an amount to see any color in it.
5. It is uncomfortable, but no pain. The eye ball is more sensitive than the other eye.
6. No fever.
I forgot to tell you that I have dry eye too. I use Refresh eye drops which my ophthalmologist suggested I use. The drops seem to help a little. But the symptoms remain.
I recommend the use of these drops, pls do try and get them
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.
Thank you for all that information.
I do suspect an allergic reaction to be more likely than an infection and so I recommend the use of eye drops that have ofloxacin and dexamethasone combination (e.g. OFLOX-D). One drop in each eye twice daily for at least 7-10 days.
I hope this helps, please do not hesitate to write to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
